HISTORY
CARING FOR KIDS originally had their first start by providing families with affordable, quality child care in licensed private homes across Mississauga since 1986.
In 1995, CARING FOR KIDS- The Centre, was acquired. We provide high quality child care to families in this area of South-East Mississauga in the Peel. We now have a licensed capacity for 69 children in The Centre.
AGE GROUPS SERVED: TODDLERS TO KINDERGARTEN
- We provide care for children from 18 months to 6 years old.
- Each classroom provides a stimulating environment for children to learn at their own pace according to their developmental stage.
TODDLER PROGRAM - (18 MTHS – 2½ YRS)
PRESCHOOL - (2½ – 3 YRS )
KINDERGARTEN - (4 – 5 YRS)
Daily Activities
- Activities are planned for the children based on interests of children. These activities include: Creative and sensory play, art activities, group games, songs and books, building on writing and math skills, pretend play, field trips, science and cooking activities and indoor and outdoor active play and quiet time.
- Please refer to the program plan posted outside of your child’s classroom.
Nutrition
All meals follow the Canada Food Guide’s recommendation for this age group:
- Breakfast type snack is served in the morning.
- A mid-morning fruit snack
- A nourishing hot lunch is served daily.
- Mid afternoon snack is served after the mid day nap.
- Late afternoon fruit snack
