Home Home Care Advantages Home Setting

Give your child all the comforts and benefits of a home setting.

A home setting differs from that in a child care centre and offers the following benefits:

  • The low child-to-caregiver ratio is ideal for young children, particularly infants.  Also, care may be more tailored to individual needs.
  • Siblings of different ages may remain together, where in a child care centre they could be in different classrooms.
  • The Caregiver remains constant as a child ages, where in a child care centre they might graduate to a different classroom with a different Caregiver.

Routine and Activities

Outdoor activities involving fresh-air exercise and naps are part of the daily agenda.

Nutrition and Meals

The Caregiver will supply a nutritious meal at lunch and two snacks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon) when your child is eating regular table foods.  Parents are responsible for supplying baby food.

The Caregiver is not expected to supply breakfast or dinner.  If you need breakfast or dinner served, and your Caregiver is in agreement, you must pay the additional cost - or supply the food - directly to the Caregiver.

All Caregivers follow the Canada Food Guide.

Parent Reviews

"Every child's needs are individual and the Caring for Kids staff was excellent in finding a suitable environment for our twins to flourish in.  I have recommended them to other parents seeking daycare, in that they can be assured of quality care for their chidlren."
