We offer flexible programs to meet the needs of working parents.

Currently, we provide care for children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years old at a capacity of 69 children. Our hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding all public holidays.

Toddlers (18 months - 2.5 years)

Full-time Programs Only (5 days / week)

We provide a nurturing, loving environment for toddlers to explore and learn about the world at their own pace. We understand the needs a toddler has and provide a sensory-enriched program to fuel enthusiasm and facilitate development.

Junior Preschool (2.5 years - 4 years)

Full-time Programs
Part-time, Full-day Programs (3 day minimum)

As children enter into "preschool" years, their needs change.  At Caring for Kids - The Centre, we encourage them to explore a curriculum suited to their needs.  We believe that children learn best through play and our program is designed to encourage this.  We provide opportunities for outdoor play, rest, meals, music, and both group and individual play time.

Senior Preschool (4 years - 5 years)

Full-time Programs
Part-time, Full-day Programs (3 day minimum)

We provide before and after school care for children who are attending junior and senior kindergarten at local schools.

Children in this program enjoy hot meals, outdoor play time as well as an enriched learning program.

School Age Programs

Part-time (before and after school)

We understand the unique needs of children who are school age.  We believe that these children need guidance and encouragement as they move toward independence and maturity,  Our program is designed to promote this through free exploration and making choices within a controlled environment.

School Escort Service

We provide supervised escort to neighbou rhood schools and to designated school bus stops for kindergarten and school-age children.

This service is available to children attending the following schools:

• Byngmount Public School
• St. Domenic's Separate School
• Mineola Public School - French Immersion Program ONLY (Grade 1 and up)

Camp Programs

We offer programming for school-agers when school is not in session.

This includes:

• March Break
• Summer Break
• Winter Break

Programming activities may include:

• special themed activities
• field trips and day excursions
• other fun & educational experiences

NB: This program is open tor children who are not participants in our regular school year program, when availability allows.

Professional Development and Early Release Days

We offer care for children during school closures.
